These photos, organized here in five distinct galleries, are an invitation to you to come explore a unique wetland environment and the wildlife that lives there. Please use the menu or click on "Galleries and Content" to explore the different galleries highlighting different aspects of Florida wetland wildlife. I originally set out to see if I could master the challenge of photographing birds in flight. Time spent walking through Florida's wetlands with a camera has led to a greater understanding and appreciation of these places, a deeper understanding of the wildlife and ecosystems they support. What draws me back to the wetlands is the unique experience of the sights and sounds of the wildlife that lives there, and a desire to document what I see and share that with you. I believe people are more likely to value what they have come to appreciate, so I hope these photographs inspire a sense of wonder, curiosity, and connection to this remarkable part of the natural world. The images on this website were primarily shot with a Sony A1 and either a 200–600mm or 100–400mm lens, typically at shutter speeds of 1/2000 of a second, at up to 30 frames per second, while maintaining a respectful distance from the animals being photographed.
